Soldat

A young German soldier poses for the Camera during the cold Russian winter. As the weather got colder, the soldiers would often raid Russian civilian's houses or even corpses for warm winter clothing, such as the fur coat he wears.

Once again, this is an official German army coat, not a pillaged civil garment.

Really? What was the official designation? The lack of any kind of visible shoulder-straps threw me off… Feel free to change the caption.
