Soviet POW

Doomed Soviet soldiers captured by the Germans. It looks like winter 1941/42. History tells us very few of these Soviets survived the next months.

Few of the Germans returned as well when Stalingrad fell and others take prisoner. There is a movie AS FAR AS MY FEET WILL CARRY ME about one German who escaped from Siberia. The Russians took thousands of Japanese at the end of the war as well who never saw home again either. Some POWS worked in lead and coal mines and were kept in the mines and worked and lived there until they died.
