SS Heinrich and Sepp Dietrich

The SS Reichführer and his most relevant General , only a question : because it leads Heinrich binoculars? I honestly do not believe him capable of assessing situations from the front line. Saludos Jorge

He always admired, and envied, his elder brother Gebhard, who was “in” WWW1 for a year, and won the EK 1. In actuality, he had no military experience or, indeed, training beyond a few months’ officer cadet training in 1918. If memory serves, he was placed in command of Army Group Vistula very late in the war. The fact that Army Group Vistula was almost immediately smashed to smithereens by the Red Army is hard to blame entirely on Himmler; it was in pretty bad shape before he arrived. However, I doubt if having Heinrich in command helped very much … Best regards, JR.

Himmler and Dietrich are conferring at the end of the successful Polish Campaign,1939.

JR,

Heini was actually piss poor when commanding the army group. It was in poor shape but he basically hid in his hq and did nothing.
