Hi ELK, question…when did the swastika and eagle (Heer Decal?) first appear on the m16 model?

Good question, I found a picture and posted it, showing the Heer decals in August 1934. But I do not know when exactly they were introduced. Probably soon after Hitler’s rise to power, new national symbols etc.

The original decals of the German federal states were disestablished on March 14, 1933. That day the new black/white/red decal was introduced. On February 17, 1934 they started to use the silver eagle for the army respectively the golden eagle for the navy on the helmet’s left side.
