How long did the Taisho 11 LMG last in the Japanese forces?, Was it totally replaced in the first half of WW2 or did it serve longer?

In the late thirties the type 96 6,5 mm lmg was introduced to replace the type Taisho 11 6,5 mm lmg. Due to the large need for automatic weapons and the limited production capacities the type 96 only replaced the type Taisho 11 in some units.
It was used until surrender, at least in second line and training units but also in frontline units mainly in China and Burma.
