Far from it, the allied flew the better planes for a job like that…
Just to name a few, P-38, Mosquito, Shturmovik, Tempest, Typhoon and P-47…
P-47 likely to be the best of the lot, though for long range would go with the Mosquito.
Better options in payload in nearly every category and usually more of it.
Stearing more to fighter then bomber otherwise i would have put up the stuka but thanks for you point of view.
Huh? The Mosquito, Tempest, Typhoon, Shturmovik, and P-47 stearing more to a fighter than a bomber?
Stuka was a dive bomber… and would be inline with the Val, the Dauntless and the Skua.
Typhoon, P-38 and P-47, born fighters turned fighter-bombers, same as with the FW190.
Mosquito was bomber, turned fighter, turned night-fighter, turned fighter-bomber. They pretty much used it in all roles an aircraft could be used as.
Shturmovik and Tempest*, born groundattack-aircraft with fighter abilities.
So what´s the difference between those I named vs. “your” FW190
hey …u 4 got the best one of all
