The SS

Well we cant have a topic about the GERMAN MILITARY without a topic on the SS. I personally hate the SS and all they were brainwashed for. But lets start the topic.

Well I think their symbol says alot about them in the first place.

Anyhow here is a good site about them. Although there was some info i didnt understand.

http://www.feldgrau.com/ss.html

I’m getting a bad link there :?

I accidently had [/img] on the end … oops

Should be working fine now

yes, they did lots of terrible thinks, but for me,the WAFFEN SS (no the SS) where the best soldiers ever seen in this world.

better than british,japaneses…

better than all!

when i said better,i was refering during combats,no during brainwashes  .

As I know, they have enough heroism, but havn’t enough training for real battles and have a lack of war experience. So they wasn’t such great soldiers…

It is true that the Schutzstaffel did alot of terrible things, but the one thing that amazed me was their loyalty to the Fuhrer. Even in the final days of the war, when all of Hitler’s other soldiers knew the war was lost, regardless, teh S.S. fought to the bitter end. That kind of determination is amazing. I mean, who wants to fight for a loosing cause?

true words

The Skull and Bones badge ws hijacked. The skull and bones were originally the cap badge of the Prussian Hussars, dating back to the Napoleonic wars. Later armoured units, converted from cavalry regiments used it.

Concerning the history and internal structure of the huge SS organisation with all it’s branches I recommend
Heinz Höhne: The Order of the Death’s Head
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0330029630/qid=1119924849/sr=8-4/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i4_xgl14/104-9001181-6379106?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

But I warn you. The book is very thick and it is a scientific historical text.
