The U-107 at sea

German submarine (U-boat) U-107 at sea, at the side a life boat with survivors coming close (surviving sailors of a sunken ship?). U-107 was a Type IXB U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine that operated during World War II. Between January 1941 and August 1944, she sank 39 Allied ships, in addition to damaging another four ships.

Unlikely that it is from a ship recently sunk by 107 as the crew seem too relaxed for having been at "action stations".Note crewman in bathing costume. The lifeboat seems secured with the rope in the foreground.Might I suggest giving medical help and provisions unlike an IJN sub that would be more likely to tie them to the conning tower before diving.
