I’ve seen it before but watched it again today.
I believe this was actually filmed in 1945 at the home of the 384th Bomb Group in Grafton Underwood. Shots of B-17s with the first division ‘Triangle P’ on their tails also clarify this. For me it was a special movie, as I have many veteran friends who flew from here, have written a novel based on it, and have walked the old fields where the base once stood many times. You could say this was the place that got me into my writing and art…
