This book was written by Eugene Fluckey and his war patrols in the USS Barb. From begining to end I was totally rivited. The will of this submarine captain to take the fight to the enemy was amazing. The Barb was credited with sinking the most tonnage of any submarine during the war. The crew of the USS Bard not only fought on/in water, but even went ashore and blew up an enemy train! A great read for anyone interested in naval warfare. I recommend this book highly.
