Nice, Clave!! I know the pilot that flew a thunderbolt for the Mexican Air Force. They never saw air combat during WWII, only ground attack roles.

I like the P-47, it shows a pragmatic approach - ā€˜lets get the biggest damn engine we can find, and stuff it into a fighter, and see what happensā€™ sort of thingā€¦ :mrgreen:

Nice pics. I noticed that on some of the actual aircraft photos the US star is only on one wing, not both?. Was there a reason for that?

The ā€œJugā€ was an interesting plane. I am surprised you did not include pictures of the Razorback version also. Also the ones pictured with the extra dorsal bracing are most likely P-47Nā€™s not Dā€™s.
