haha i never would have guessed that 'ol tintin was a nazi…
wait wait, wasnt tintin from a country like Belguim who hated Nazis?
wow, really nice pics:)
Ah maybe he was working undercover then, for the Allies
It’s still frequently debated what side Herge was on with respect to the Nazis - from memory, there are examples of him taking either side in the books. My best guess is that his opinion of them changed over time.
Incidentally, those look like postcards drawn “in the style of” rather than genuine to me - the detail on the machinery is wrong.
What plane is the secound one from the top?
The glider looks a bit like a Kranich (although the nose is wrong), while the next one down is a Hawker Typhoon/Tempest.
Top to bottom:
Henschell
Typhoon
Invader/Havoc
FW-190
Storch
Didn’t know that! Nice find Tsolias!
Nope. Close though. The Invader was the Douglas A-26. The aircraft pictured is a Martin B-26 Marauder - not related.
Random trivia - the B-26 had one of if not the lowest attrition rates of the war.
Ooops your right uts that 26 thing. And it did have a very small loss ratio, I remember reading this and as usual dnt know where, perhaps it had something to do with when it came into service though. Im not sure though…
OMG
