The Order #227 was issued 28 jule 1942.Not 27 of 1943

If he’s correct, I hope it can be corrected in time for next year’s Today’s Event. 
Right, I’m reading Beevor’s Stalingrad at the moment and just yesterday I read about Stalin’s “Not one step back” order which had the number 227.
I think Chevan is questioning the date, being a year out according to him, rather than the order number.
I don’t know anything about any of it, apart from Stalin being a **** always prepared to sacrifice countless people in pursuit of his ambitions.
Certainly, the order was a consequence of the German offensive (Fall Blau) in summer of 1942.
