Traffic rules under Berlin occupation

In Berlin, there is a road-sign which say “you are in the American sector, so obey to traffic rules”.

Does it mean that that in the English sector car drove in the left and in the American and French sector car had to drive in the right ?

They had to obey german traffic rules.
