Can anyone advise what type of projectile has a trajectory as shown in this pic?
Seems it just runs out of kinetic energy and drops to earth, I’d have expected a smoother flight path but know nothing about the subject.

Para illum. The round should be fired at a higher trajectory, then the parachute opens and it floats to the ground. I have used them in this way to mark targets and lines of advance at night. Set the fuse to zero and it open on the ground.
