sunk on the last day of the war. may 5 1945. depth charged from the air. in 1993 a Dutch expedition raised it. still in tact. susposed to still be on display in England. I read the other day a captured U boat was going to be split into 3 sections for public display. wonder if its this one??? raising these wrecks is dangerous. they still contain armed torpedo’s and mines. many a sport diver has died exporing war wrecks.
