Uncle Louie WW2 - Killed in action - France

This is my Uncle Louis Capozi. His body was never recovered. Killed in action in his tank

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://ww2incolor.com/gallery/ancestor-photos/43642/uncle-louie-ww2-killed-in-action-france

The 6th Armored Div. website mentions this engagement but I can’t find Blouveaut anywhere, and also other towns like Bodtis and Pont de la Roque, sadly it seems several towns and villages names might be writen incorrectly. I’ve tried google maps, google earth, michelin maps and even my GPS. I also tried variations like Blouveaux or Bloveaut and no hits. :frowning:

Staff Sgt Louis J. Capozi’s tank was knocked out by bazooka fire in Blouveaut, Brittany 6 August 1944 as the 68th Tank Bn, 6th Armored Div headed toward Brest. He and three others from that action are still missing in action.
