I got this,what I think is a primer, from a WW2 collector,together with some other things.I got no info on the object.Perhaps somone in here can help out.
There are NO markings at all ,also no thread.
Lenght is 2,8 cm or 1,102 inch
Diameter 11mm or 0,433 inch shell 001.JPG patroon 002.JPG

I’ve been looking around, and aside from possibly being the initiator for a Mortar round, it may well be the igniter for a P.I.A.T. shape charge bomb. (though these are pure speculations on my part)
