Unknown piece of scrap

Saw this in front of a WW2 museum along with other military artefacts. Unfortunately the museum was closed so I couldn’t ask. Anybody knows what this massive piece of scrap is about?

Could it be the hatch that opens to the engine of the Panther tank? It had those two nodule looking things. (I know, great description)

Some piece of a tank was my first thought as well, of course the “thing” is too big and heavy for a hatch crew members had to use to embark/disembark.

Hard to tell without a size reference object next to it. I thought though that it might be some part of Madonna’s wardrobe…

Yeah, maybe that high tech bra.

Gotta be an engine hatch of some sorts, looks very German-esque to me.

I think you are right.
It does look like a Panther engine hatch.

Ok

i think i have found a match. see pic.

Ah…the engine hatch of the Jagdtiger! My model looks a little different than yours. That’s why I thought it was a Panther. My Panther model engine hatch looked similar to the piece of metal.

Hi

if you look at the hatch in the main picture it has the same holes for the handle at the bottom right. and the small raised centre piece seems to match to.

I can’t take credit for the picture as i found it on the net

shafs

Kinda looks like an OWL

Ha-ha-ha! That’s funny! Took me a minute to see:).

i think its from a tank

No shit?
