I am currently trying to find some pics of the M3 used during the fighting on Iwo Jima by the US. It is a IR system based around the M1 Carbine that was developed by the US by duplicating captured German Vampire IR systems. If anyone can direct me to what these weapons looked like and how they were deployed I would appreciate it. Also any histories or insight to their use during the war would be great.
