I have a restored WW2 USN Allis Chalmers HD-7W Bulldozer, While sandblasting I was able to find original SeaBee markings, it was the 53rd NCB. The brass navy ID tag is missing and I want to install a new tag, I need the Navy designation for this model tractor. It was officially known as ‘Tractor, Medium, M1’ in US Army record. Or also ‘G-125’. Can anyone tell me if this same designation was used by the US Navy? I have a new brass tag and want to correctly stamp it for this tractor. Can anyone tell me of a site where official nomenclature and model id lists for USN equipment would be? Thank you!
