Vickers Medium Tank MkII (Markings)

I am looking for photos or drawings of the Vickers Medium Tank MkII in North Africa, for a modelling project. The model is built, I just need colour scheme & markings.
I’m struggling to find anything other than b/w photos & scale drawings.
I know that 6th R/T/R had a few in 1938/9. But I don’t know how they painted them in those days, and I’m not sure about unit markings for the “Mobile Force”.
There may have been other examples with different tank units too, possibly even in 1940, but I have yet to track anything down.

Can anyone help?

Try looking here… On Btinternet, there is something about the divisional markings of the Mobile Division and 7th armoured Division. On the other site, there are some black and white photo’s, just what you didn’t need, I know but,… well,…

I’ll keep looking for you!

Joppe.

Glad to see that you have found AfrikaKorps.org
I have a small interest in that organisation myself.

Yes, let’s all keep looking.

Yes I know more B/W pics lol

6 RTR Mk II Mediums in Egypt although the pics are b/w they do show they had a two tone disruptive pattern paintwork on them.

With my little knowledge of camouflage in the early war, if nothing better turns up, I would if I were you go with the colours used on the Bovington tank. Furthermore, you might find the divisional badge on btinternet, and I can tell you that, at least during the battle of france, these AoS’s were used:

1st brigade, red square.
4 1st regiment
5 2nd regiment
6 3th regiment

2nd brigade, green square.
8 1st regiment
9 2nd regiment
10 3th regiment
