A good quality photo, in original color or perhaps colored?
General Jany (Yaa-nee)is best known for his role as the controversial commander of the ill-fated Hungarian Second Army positioned far from home at the Don river front during 1942-1943. But his bravery could never be disputed, at the front or after the war. From the West he went back to Hungary in 1946, stating that he wanted to share the fate of his soldiers, which he did by facing a post-war kangaroo court and a firing squad.
