That’s the later Sturmbannführer Fritz Rentrop. Knight’s Cross on October 13, 1941 as Obersturmführer and commander of 2nd Battery/SS-Flak-Abteilung 2 “Reich”. As first staff officer of IV. SS-Panzerkorps Rentrop was captured heavily wounded on February 2, 1945 by the Red Army in Hungary and is reported MIA since then.
