I may have asked this before, but what is the second button ribbon below the Iron Cross 2nd Class? It escapes my memory.
It’s the medal “Winterschlacht im Osten” (winter battle in the east) for taking part in the winter battles 1941/42. As imi wrote before today it was nicknamed “Gefrierfleischorden” (frozen meat badge). P.S. note the cuff title of regiment “Deutschland” (2nd SS “Das Reich”).
