Walter Gerth

SS-Obersturmführer Walter Gerth, commander of the 7. Kompanie, SS-Totenkopf-Artillerie-Regiment 3. He got the Knight's Cross at March 31, 1943. He was also awarded the General Assault Badge, the Iron Cross (1st Class), the Wound Badge + one thing that I can't identify.

Thanks FTG and PS! I don’t know what he is wearing above his left pocket, but it is now clear for me that this is the ribbon bar of the Ostmedaille / Eastern Front Medal.

With artillery it’s 7th battery, not company. BJ, which decoration is it you can’t identify?
