Redeiculing enemy is a profound feature of any propaganda. <br />on the other hand I would not say that Germans were perceived as inferior in USSR, rather as smart, cunning and strong enemy.

??? Russian churches already were used as stables, barns or storehouses when the Germans arrived. Under German occupation the civilians in the Soviet Union were allowed to use them as churches again.
