Which country do you think had the coolest uniforms in WW2 and which unit? I chose Germany. If I had to pick a unit, i’m not sure what they fall under but the black SS uniforms are very cool looking so I pick this uniform.
Hell don’t say that they are symbol of the Nazi sistem , Allied uniforms or nothing anyone who like them is nazi
Out of joke i think the germans had the best uniforms in ww2 , too sad that the helmet was removed ( because it was devil symbol as well ) from the today german army. Here is a funny photo of bulgarian soldier 1942 - http://www.ww2incolor.com/d/146506-4/bulgar Look at the funny for me helmet
I agree with hermann . I choose german army and the unit are the SS . I like black color that’s why i choose this unit . And because i like the uniform . Black and simple !!!
My Honor is Loyalty
Definately the German black SS uniform for no other reason that it looks smart. Obviously when it comes to battle smart doesn’t count but more practicality and function. The German helmet was way ahead of its time and not only looked good, but offered adequate neck protection. The modern US helmet looks very similar in design so that must speak for itself.
German army. the SS black uniform.
someone can id this german uniform http://www.v-like-vintage.net/en/photo_details/85373_photo_noName/
thx
Definitely the German uniform. Even the wehrmact uniform was elegant.
Someone mentioned the German helmet, the basic design goes back to roman times, Feudal Japan had its version as well. Not to mention long long ago in galaxies far away…
Gents, you’ve got it all wrong! You want cool black uniforms with a skull capbadge? And on the winning side? Then look no further than the 17/21st Lancers. (Can’t put up photos as i’m on my work computer at present - ssh! don’t tell the work internet gestapo!)
They were a British armoured regiment during WW2, wiki link here,
The ‘official’ origin of the M1916 Helmet (Which was the basis of the WW2-era German helmet) was supposed to be the Medieval Sallet (Schaller), which originated in the Holy Roman Empire in the late Middle Ages.
(Sorry for the big image size, the only size of this picture I could find)
number 1 combat uniform: the Wehrmacht Uniform Panzer units. these where black with a nice jacket.
(the algemeine waffen ss didn’t had black uniforms. there were just feldgrau)
the SS gala uniforms and Parade Uniforms are a different story;)
Very good topic!
the german uniform was the best I think also.(designed all by Hugo Boss)
Very elegant suits, with nice quality long leather coats, and boots in the Wehrmacht or in the SS also
Ok, so we’re not buying the 17/21st, what about British paratroopers?
Camouflaged dennison smock and nice maroon beret, and to use britmil slang ‘well ally’.
Germany. Wehrmacht and SS uniforms, since they look so nice.
