This is “Coalitia SV”, a 152mm Howitzer.
The recoil of one gun reload the other.
It was demostrated in 2006.

This thing must cause quite some damage! On the other hand imagining one sorry-ass dude with an RPG is able to blow it up!
Normally artillery is placed some kilometers behind the frontline.
At least in a symetrical conflict sorry-assed dudes souldn’t came
near enough to fire their RPG’s:mrgreen: And in asymetrical
conflicts artillery is quite useless.

Yup, the recoil fom the guns would make it move back too much too often to make it usefull.
I don’t know the name of it. In firing position it will be pushed into the earth,
like a bulldozer to hold the recoil.
Why not just back it up to a stack of rocks or another tank? :mrgreen:

Right, Sergej. And as long as there are these conlicts like in the Caucasus -meaning one totally inferior party in both men and material- there will be guerilla warfare including sorry-ass dudes with RPGs. 
Not only todays equipment but evan today’s armys
are useless in this case. I can’t remeber any conflict
or war with guerillia tactics that was won by conventional
armys. I don’t see how you can win such war, all you can
do is surrender and run away: Vietnam, Soviet-Afghan war,
and that crap in Afghanistan and Iraq today.
I was told, in Russia some not-so-sorry-ass girls with RPGs were encountered lately!

That guy was an sorry-ass-dude.
Looks like a 105 or a 120mm gun not a 152mm. But could it be more then Artillary, maybe a new tank. I would not put it past the russians. fire once then twice now three and the tank is dead. Could that thing kill a m1a3 Abrams or a German Lepaord ( remeber Bad speller) tank?
To make a tank of this is a bad idea, it wheights 40 tons with 15mm armor.
If you increase it to MBT standart it would wheight 100 tons or more.
And it’s really big and that makes it to a good target. There were plans to
make an 152mm gun into a MBT but it wasn’t realized now.
