Some interesting pics. Not sure, but I think the color photo entitled “P-63A_USSR.jpg” might have been taken in the United States at the old Bell factory near Niagara Falls, NY…

Yes, this is Niagara photos. Amazingly , but americans drown the red stars over lend-lease planes just right on bell’s plant. Economy of time and paint. Full service :wink:

Sadly, the plant is no longer in Niagara Falls (actually the suburb of Wheatfield)… :frowning:

I heard the bell plant was placed on Buffalo?

Bell was in Niagara Falls with facilities at the present Airport and in Wheatfield where they made the Aerocobras.

Curtiss-Wright, maker of the P-40 Warhawk, was in Buffalo and their facility is now a huge warehouse section I once worked near.

I’ve heard rumors a local car museum dedicated to the long defunct Pierce-Arrow car has crated engines in their original WWII packaging…
