It has been picked up from the bottom of the Odra (Oder) river in Szczecin (Stettin), polish-german border.
According to the press release it is a 500 kg aerial bomb.
Anyone got a clue? Is it an american?

Tail looks wrong for the US M-65 bomb.

Doesn’t exactly match the G.P. 1000 either, I agree that with the ring around the boom mount it looks quite German. (I’ll have to rewatch Danger UXB to make certain

That’s one plucky Polish EOD guy! The bomb looks in quite good shape whomever made it. I’m no bomb expert but the tip looks far too conical to be U.S. origin…
