What WW2 era firearms have you fired?

I thought that this would be interesting, since there’s a few prolific shooters amongst the walts on this site.

So, what WW2 era weapons have you fired, and which have you handled /(include deacts if you like)? Be honest, and computer games don’t count.

Your starter for ten:

No.4T
No.5
No.6 (apeture sighted version - rare as rocking horse scat)
P14 (normal & sniper)
Springfield M1903A3
Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 & M44
Lebel
Mauser Gew. 98 (OK, so this one’s really WW1 cos they were modded by WW2)

Hehe can’t compete with that, Corporal Stoat.

I’ve fired a Browning High power, but it was a modern one.

I haven’t fired any. I have a ww1 era German rifle but it is in no firing condition. I am not going to get it refurbished or anythign i want to keep it in the condition it has been in.

Fired:

No4 Lee Enfield
Bren .303 (and 7.62 LMG version)
Browning Hi-Power (the modern version)
30 cal Browning (exact version???) in dismounted role from Centurion AVRE

Couldn’t list em all

I’ve fired every WWII weapon ever produced.

While playing computer games.

Only because he is soooo knowledgeable. I defer to his authority on all subjects. Why did I think I knew better than him on current British Army training and doctrine? I have now seen the light and will no longer stoop to the level of you people that mock him out of jealousy.

Or am I being ironic?

the fañ pf argentinian army, and mauser has two weapons, one is a rifle, and the other is like a pistol/sub-mg

this is the supposing sub-mg:
.

oh sorry,i was wrong, the fal isn`t from ww2

The top picture is a pistol, Erwin, not an SMG - it’s a variant based on the Mauser C96. I don’t know whether that particular version takes a shoulder stock, but the originals did. There were some full-auto versions, but when fitted with the stock they should be considered as select-fire shoulder-stocked pistols, not SMGs. They were not very successful when used fully-auto: “Machine guns of WW2” did a test with one, and found that over about 15m they were not effective in full-auto fire due to the extremely high rate of fire and the muzzle climb.

The second one is a .22 rimfire calibre sporting rifle. I needn’t say more

oh,confunded pic

I’ve fired a Webley (I was actualy reasonably profcient with it!) and a broom handled Mauser from about 1896.

Sadly both now illegal in the UK.
