Hi everybody! Trying to find out which person said something like:
“We now have taken partial revenge for Pearl Harbor. The revenge shall only be complete when the whole Japanese Navy is crippled”
(translated quote so maybe the actual words may vary…)
Anybody knows?

What language was the quote originally in? That might yield some clues.

Im not really sure but sounds familiar! Maybe if this type of topic does well we can move it to the quiz section and have a quiz devoted to quotes!?!?!

Well… I don’t have a clue as to the original language. I figured it was in English as it states taking revenge for Pearl Harbor and fighting the Japanese Navy.
If I try to google it Midway often pops up as “partial revenge for Pearl Harbor” but I haven’t found out yet who made the statement though…

Ive never heard that but If it was said I would think it was an American. Do you remember where you first heard or read this?

I’d just delete the post & pm the bloke with his final wng, but then that’s only a suggestion.

Note I did not suggest that his head should be displayed on a pike.
Although that idea does give a nice warm feeling, eh ?
