I rented this movie this weekend, "As far as my feet will carry me". It is the true story of a German POW who walked nearly 6500 miles from Siberia to freedom from a Russian POW camp. The Russians kept the Germans in the coal mines and worked them to death. This one German Solider escaped and this movie tells the story. It is a GREAT movie and was made in Germany.
In the movie the Russians kept the Germans in the mine as a barracks and worked them to death in the same mine.
