William Shatner, an man among boys!

G’day,

William Shatner-one of the worst actors of all time and right up there with Richard Harris in the woeful singing stakes. Thanks for reminding us how bad he really was.

Regards to all,
Digger.

So bad he was good

Mind you, now he’s realised it, and is now playing it up for all its worth, he’s actually quite funny.

G’day,

Yeah, I agree redcoat, his sendups of himself are hilarious. It still doesn’t change the fact he can’t act for shit.

Regards to all,
Digger.

One of the best things I ever saw Bill SHatner do was sing Pulp’s ‘Common People’, it was absolutely brilliant! No one can sing like Bill!

G’day,

No-one else can sing like Bill. Thank god for that!

I have always had a soft spot for William Shatner having grown up with the original star trek but I have to admit though he is the original ham actor his award winning preformance as Denny Crane in Boston Legal has never been less than brilliant.

BTW, this thread was a bit of a joke. But you have to love Shatner, because of his sense a humor and continued self-depreciation. He’s not a very good actor as far as versitility goes, yet his starship captain was a little better than a truly great Shakespearean actor’s starship captain: Patrick Stewart.

Okay hotshots, without looking it up,who can name the title of this Star Trek episode and say what the storyline was? -

I would never know the episode title, but was that the one where Kirk, Spock, & McCoy must contend with a Starfleet officer that is gradually attaining God-like powers?

Right, the episode was called “Where no man has gone before” and was one of the first made and got rave reviews from sci-fi fans.
Basically the Enterprise flew through some kind of radioactive cloud and it gave the man and woman all kinds of paranormal powers.
The woman handles it okay but the bloke starts thinking he’s a god and gets big ideas, getting crueller and crueller as time goes on.
I lurv the scene where he says mockingly to Kirk “You ought to do what Mr Spocks thinking, that you should kill me while you still can”…

Ha! It’s been years since I’ve seen that. The SciFi Channel used to carry it in the States, but it’s been a while since I’ve noticed it on the tube…

I don’t know why I remember this, but they had to use phaser rifles in that one, one of the few episodes where they had different weapons.

I think one of my favorite episodes is where Kirk has a moral dilemma as to whether save a pre-War (WWII) American pacifists life or not (she’s played by a young Joan Collins) from her destiny of being hit by a car.

What’s with all the postings about William Shatner, one of the worst actors of all time:confused: I think this part of the forum should be totally devoted to Panzerknacker’s lovely Argentinian models.

Then again it could be worse you guys could be raving about Steven Seagal.

Or the Hoff, what about the Hoff?
