WW1 in color!!

Now is the age that we can look into ww1 footage in color with new technology it is capable we can see it as they brave men did what are you thoughts on it:confused:

That is what WWI in Color did for me. I though the way they processed the old footage and colorized it was wonderful. It was like looking at footage shot with an early form of tintype color camera. All said, they did a bang-up job.

First World War in Colour - Western front - The first experiments with color photography were carried out in 1904 near Lyon in France, where father Lumière owned a photographic factory. In 1907 the Lumière brothers patented the autochrome process they had invented.

I checked this series out on DVD from my public library. It is an excellent DVD and really gives you an entire new perspective on the war (not just from the color video and photography). It was also very interesting to hear from the few surviving British veterans that were featured.
It’s hard to believe that WW1 began over 93 years ago.
