WW2 aircraft

Because I’m feeling evil, here’s a quiz for the really obscure WW2 aircraft out there. Whoever guesses it right puts the next one up, and if there’s no activity for a while I’ll put a new one up myself.

First aircraft…

Bristol Buckmaster - P indicating Mark 1 prototype

Spot on. Your turn.

Cheers

What’s this. usually gets my vote as one of the ugliest aircraft of the 1939-45 period

And my sincerest congratulations – this task really was a difficult one!

Well done Librarian. I expected a few wrong turns but not only did you get the aircraft but the original sources too. It’s a very good article.

Over to you for the next question.

And thank you for the compliment - I like odd aircraft

And thank you for the compliment - I like odd aircraft

Oh, not at all - I am assuring you, my dear Mr. Amrit that aforesaid compliment is absolutely well-deserved.

Besides, I like aircraft oddities too. Therefore here is one: do you recognize this type?

Beats me I’m afraid. So I’m returning the compliment

And the answer is Bloch M.B. 157, my dear Mr. Pdf 27. Here it is:

Sorry, I don’t have much time today – besides, I am preparing an large article for another thread here – but I will say that my “mystery airplane” actually had an Internet debut. Yes, as you may suppose, that airplane is a very interesting Yugoslav machine from 1940 – more precisely Rogožarski R 313, a bomber – destroyer equipped with two Walter Sagitta 2 R (500 HP!) engine, capable to achieve maximum speed of 460 km/h. A short description you will be able to find here:

Well, I have to proceed with my work. See you tomorrow!

In the meantime - all the best!

That’s frighteningly quick Mr Librarian <bows out of respect>.

Oh, please my dear Mr. Pdf 27 – basically there is nothing unusual in that actuality. You know, as every fellow with eyeglasses I am only trying to recompensate my objective physical inability. Like your great fellow countryman, late Sir Morien Bedford, I was misfortunate enough to be completely unfit for flying. And that’s why I am obliged to balance that verity with my dreams.

And here is another mystery plane for you. Do you recognize this machine?

Bristol Bleniem with floats.

blohm un voss Ha140

I go with Gumalangi.

its been quite a while for the respond of the quiz poser,… so i will go ahead then
