WW2 Veterans. This Marine fought on Okinawa. A 101st Veteran. The other veteran flew in WW2, Korea and Vietnam.
My Great Uncle. Served in the 25th Infantry “Tropic Lightning” with the 161st Washington National Guard, Company L. He enlisted as a Private in August of 1941. Fought with the 25th on Guadalcanal, New Georgia, and Luzon. He’s now buried in Arlington National Cemetery with my Great Aunt. Since I’ve been researching his time in the South Pacific, I’m amazed that he made it home alive. My other Great Uncle, who I never got to meet, was also in the war and made it home alive.
