WWII abbreviation

I am looking for the definition for O.E. Home Forces

In what context

I have seen T.O.E (Table of Equipment) but not O.E.

I looked in the Army list and can’t find it. Also looking for information about British WWII Home Forces

I can only think of the American context of “OEM” which is “original equipment/engine manufacturer”…

Only thing I found with O.E. was a reference to British S.O.E (Special Operations Executive ) Perhaps one of our U.K. members will have some info.

Plenty of information about the home defence forces on the net - a little to start you off - bit of a selection that I have used.

Arming the British Home Guard 1940-1944 by DM Clarke - is available as a free download PDF and is very good.
