Wow.
There is one movie that is not on that list. It’s called TORPEDO SQUADRON NO.8 and was made on board an aircraft carrier before the pilots left for a bombing mission. I don’t think any came back. The video was given to the family members of the pilots. I think only 35 copies were made.
I’m trying to get a hold of it because it was also shot in full color.
Torpedo Squadron 8 (VT-8) was the one which drew the Japanese air cover low at Midway, allowing the Dive Bombers a free shot at the carriers. No aircraft survived, but one man (George Gay - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Gay) survived to be rescued by a Catalina.
