cool conceptual paintings of "super-weapons"

i’ve always thought the siegfried line was a tremdous waste of steel, concrete, and, worst of all, labor. They could’ve trained their troops better and built more weapons instead of building all that stuff.

I am the only one that sees the irony in the Germans building this sort of defence when they sidesteped the Maginot line with such ease!!!

I say old chap! Nice links!

Slightly off topic…
I noticed on the first one, they talk about a Japanese submarine aircraft carrier… and I got this feeling well, as happens so often in matters nautical, “Royal Navy did it first!”. The M2 I believe - well before WWII.

On an even more off topic note - not even WW2, but after that… someone made a supersonic jet fighter… seaplane! Nuts or what? The Convair Sea Dart. Bloody wonderful piece of machinery if you ask me… But then I think that about anything that flies and is unusualll

Although the Germans did invent some great stuff, their skill on tanks is rather poor. Actually the German tanks suck compare to US and Russian ones

??where did you get this preception? your’re the only person i’ve ever heard that has thought this way.

for the time, the Panzer IV F2-J, the Panther, TIger I and II were qualitatively superior tanks with well trained personnell. The sherman was lost in disportionate quantities as well as the T-34/76.

Panzer Aces

Kurt Knispel- 168 confirmed enemy tank kills

Otto Carius- 150

HAns bolter-139

Michael wittmann-138

this is just a selection of the best. The best Allied ace (Abrams) had 50 unconfirmed and the best russian had 60 unconfirmed.

the whole german tank thing was quality over quantity, while the allies did the reverse.

good find hosenfield

Good post erwin

No he’s pointing out in a less blunt way than I that your post was irelevant and a waste of bw.
You can show your appreciation for such things in PMs, it would also mercifully free the rest of us from having to witness your nauseous and blatant brown-nosing.

Says it all really…

many said those big tank would attract attack from air ,therefore can’t survive long in the war.
Well, what is the difference of a big naval warship?
