Falklands Conflict

I think the themes about the islands in conflict coulb be treated seriously, and with respect. I am opening this “referendum”, or people’s iniciation, to incentivate to the administrators/moderators to allow the topics.

I expect support from all you.
Greetings from Argentina.

It could be treated seriously … but will it be?

I have been reading this forum for about a month, or so before I joined and I have read most of the topics regarding the above subject and although I would welcome a serious and well mannered debate on this subject, Erwin at some point is going too put on his troll mask and start throwning tantrums and then it will degenerate in to name calling and foul language  been used.

If clear rules and guidelines were used and adhered too … then I am all for it

edited to fix quote box and grammer ( i’m mildly dyslexic so may have missed some)

shas

I’d love to be able to discuss it sensibly Eagle, and it is interesting the see the views of ‘the other side’, but I think we both know that certain people cannot be trusted in such a thread and the moderators have enough to do without looking after those threads.

I honestly think that the subject has been done to death. Regardless of how sensible or balenced the posts niether side is going to convince the other that their point of view is the right one so it just becomes a lesson in futility.

I’m in complete agreement with LB, I dont see what, if anything can be added to a debate that went on for so long and covered so much.

I only wish we could spend as much time on ww2 topics, instead of what in reality was a pretty insignificant and short little conflict, this isnt meant to take anything away from the men involved in it though.

So unless there is anything new to add, I say let it stand as it is and keep it locked.

I don’t agree firefly, you can talk about the ww2 topics in its respective forums.

I think the main problem is from the moderators. If someone is destroying the topic with insignificant stupidities, they could lock to the member, so all could discuss without problems. Here, when only one member is making problems, the topic is locked, and the member do the same problems in other topics.

If someone is disturbing, so lock him, not to the topic.

Thats up to the Moderators though mate, nothing you or I can do about it. It probably wont be long before he receives his ban, then maybe we can all conduct a fresh start on the Falklands topic, with level heads and posts we think about.

wait,if only the british and eagle are going to parcipate, where is the debate?,it should be argentine vs british,no british vs british.
as im not going to participate i don’t find what makes this a debate instead of an unilateral topic  .

Since when did Eagle become British :?: :?

Not sure if he was born in britain, but he cannot represent an argentina, and this isn’t my only word,go to an argentine forum, ask to argentine TRUE people,im not obligating you to talk me,do with another people, to a veteran for example, and you will find that we would never be represented by somebody like eagle.

also i’ve seen him with a t-shirt with the british flag logo and saying “god save the queen”

Are you saying he is a lesser Argentinian because hes not automatically anti-British?

Just because Eagal has a differnt point of view dose’nt make him pro British and would the T shirt be somthing to do with the Sex Pistols as your description seems like somthing I had back in the 70’s.
Can I hear the rustle of a tin foil hat?.

i dont mean to be racist or on anyone’s side, but discussion of falkland is permanently banned until further notice. sorry for any inconvenience, but i am sure you will understand

 ,sir,i don’t think that’s racism,just a rule.
ok

Why don’t we ask to panzerknacker what he thinks about you? he is an argentine too, an we were talking about you. He thinks like me. 2 to 1, boy, who is alone now? who is wrong?. Panzer, come on, tell him.

Erwin, we do seem to keep finding repeating patterns in your posts ie rabid offence taken at nothing, racial steriotyping, etc.

You also spring to the defence of any nutter who comes on to the site who has a view similar to your own (Blitz for example). It is not a sign of weakness to listen to someone elses view point without resorting to insults.

Mr Banner.

PS. Why the Commando badge in your signature block? Is that the unit that you tried out for?

For the moment, the topic is locked.

I could appear as annoying, but I think this forum have is completely prepared to restablish as “legal” the topic about Falkland-Malvinas islands.

*Malvinas discussion
*Falklands Conflict
*Falklands/Malvinas (first request of re-stablishment)
*All topics about Invincible aircraft carrier

All these past locked posts about the topic were closed by the facts of only one person (you can corroborate it watching all the other topics), who seems to be dissapeared from this place.

Without “that” person here, I think the topic can be re-talked and discussed seriously with reciprocal respect.

I am opening the post again to have the support from all the members who think like me, and by “popular clamor”, say to the moderators that we are civilized and we are prepared to restart the chats about the islands.

Would it be possible to set up a hidden forum where those approved by the Mods could go to discuss this topic? That way those who persist in dragging it down (and IMHO it isn’t just one person, although the others tend not to stick around) could be kept out and we could discuss it in peace.
If we can do something like that I’d be in favour (and would like access to that forum) - relying on the current membership to stay sane seems rather a dangerous move to me.

Im not sure we need it to be honest, its been refreshing without it, its also been refreshing without Erwin too.

Am I the only one who doesnt miss him, or the topic?
