i don’t mind erwin coming back, but not the come back of the falkland conflict to make this site once again a falkland discussion board instead of a ww2 ones
i think you’re right. I’ve enjoyed the thread recently where there has been no falklands discussions, which used to permeate virtually every thread, it’s been good without it. I say keep it as it is.
What has happened with Erwin?
Is he gone for good or is he on the naughty step?
That may be a worthwile idea since Erwin isnt around right now. We could make the room hidden like the War Room and add members like we do moderators. What do you guys think? :?
I honestly think its been better without it. There are hundreds of sites out there that can satisfy the Falklands war.
Ive been there and to be honest, its boring, and the Falklands war may be important to a few Argentinians, but in the great scheme of things its not that important.

No, I think you were right to bring up this discussion. But can we bring it back without it overtaking the site?
It has probably brought in a few new members like Eagle etc who than go on to post good ww2 subjects.
Maybe Im wrong, perhaps it could be brought back, but with a very srtict control?

*First I think that here, the argentine member could seriously discuss the topic with the british members. Here is the “Off topic militaria” sub-forum, where this kind of topic could be discussed, and the WW2 discussions can be easily disscused on there aproppiate WW2 subforums.
Someone said that if the topic is restablished, the forum will become a “Falkand/Malvinas” topic. I don’t agree with the member who said that by just one thing: The topics about Falkland/Malvinas were so posted, because here was ***** ******* (********) -I think you know who I am saying-. He had around 3000 posts. He was practically living only to post here, he had an average of 50 posts or more, per day.
If he is not here, the main “argentine oposite” ( :!: :o :!: 
) would be only me and panzerknacker, and we only have an average of 5 posts per day, or less.
I ensure you that we can learn each other about this big topic.

IMO the whole subject has been done to death & those with opposing views should agree to differ.

Its better if we dont open threads about Falklands/Malvinas i think nothing will not change,agian warnings and fighting if Erwin come back.
Whilst i do believe eagle is genuine and does want to engage in reasonable debate I am still of the opinion that others will abuse any such thread and so i must again reiterate my opposition to the revival of the Falklands thread.
Erwin has a life, i think he is busy sometimes, believe or not he is part of the human race,yes!.

Well I think the guys are about split on this issue.
If we do decide to bring it back I suggest that it is done so with some very strict rules in place.
These would include the following:
A warning post from a Mod that includes the following:
No facts to be posted without backing them up by credible sources - this means more than 1 site.
No abuse of either nation, either by signatures, language of photos.
No abuse of any members in any way, including the above.
I think it would be possible to have a debate under these rules. We could also say that if maybe they were cumutively abused more than say 5 times by all the thread would be removed and the topic banned for good.
Does anyone have any thoughts about this idea?
