The reich did not even fully mobilize for war until 1944.
There was no need to attack the USSR. If the USSR is left alone the reich has more resources to direct against its real enemies. Regardless, the USSR seems more suited to being an ally of the nazis than their enemy given that it was an oppressive authoritarian state.
Given that logic, Mussolini and Metaxas should have been the best of friends.
The Soviet Union was a Bolshevik hellhole; don’t compare it to the Third Reich.
Who were the real enemies?
If they were so important, why didn’t the Third Reich attack them first?
Indeed, it must be fascinating there.
Tell me what it’s like in fairyland.
Or, how about we agree that we’ve flogged that particular horse way past death and that, in the interests of not attracting unwanted attention from animal protections groups, it’s a no-go area?
Deal. I will just end on the note that regardless of what liberals today think, Hitler was a good man, and I hope that message gets out. Done.
Hitler started the war to early he wasn’t properly prepared for it.
Although Germany had prepared for war for many years before the fact, surrepititiously sending designers to other industries where they would draw and re-draw designs of weapons, vehicles, aircraft etc. to the point where germany needed only begin production, and the proving ground was the Spanish civil war. The Japanese bought, and restyled some of these designs to suit their own needs, and so began with well developed armaments. Oddly enough, according to a friend of mine (a Sudetenland Czech drafted by Hitler) the reason hitler failed, was that he started the war with a bolt action infantry rifle. And, that the German machine guns, and mechanized equipments (tanks trucks etc. ) were not up to the harshness of the Russian winters, and mud. that they had to capture Russ. M.G.'s to replace the MG34-42 that failed due to mud fowling.
The USSR wasn’t that bad compared to some other places.
My old now departed friend Franz, survived his time with the Wermacht, he was sent to Russia, as a machine gunner, was wounded, struck by 3 rounds of Russian MG fire. survived food poisoning, and and all of the hazards related to the Russian front, was pressed into service as a blacksmith to shoe the Wermacht horses later in the war, and returned home after, only to have to sneak his famly away from the advancing Russian forces. He found himself in the USA, and built a life, and business, and lived to the age of 68. And he too said Other places could be worse than Russia. - Raspenau -
Actually, the two regimes were very similar.
If you genuinely think this then you really dont have a place here I think. Anyone who actually states that Hitler was a good man is about as deranged as Hitler himself was.
This is a troll, and a painfully unfunny one. Just ban him…
Hitler was a cousin-fucker. Try not to be like him…
ROFLMAO
Hitler’s biggest mistake was his barbarian racist theories about the Slavonic nations of the USSR. Their realisation on the occupied territories saved Soviet communist from the prospects to wage war not only against German troops but against the the majority of the Soviet population.
Didnt know leading a world into war was a good thing!?!?
Well I guess he did help decrease the world surplus population.
Just coz you do horrible things with a smile does not make you a good man.
I think I would watch my statements in the future if I were you!
Don’t bother GS. There are already several requests for banning him. Check his posts anyway
Mate, there’s a very good reason I didn’t respond to the provocative statement by Uncle Albert in response to my previous post.
He’s a troll, as you’ll see from various threads. He couldn’t resist slipping another trolling statement into his acceptance of my suggestion for a non-agression pact.
So,
