I’m kind of partial to Linda Darnell myself.
You and me both, Stidham
But Rita Hayworth tops all in my book

Someone got Rosa before Rising Sun could
Thanks Deaf–great pics. You and me both have that penchant for the P-38 I suppose
:mrgreen: P38, or pair of 38’s? :mrgreen::lol:
Hmm, I’d have to say both
Spitting image of a girl I once dated. Almost spooky really…
(Thank God she didn’t have access to a Mosin–Nagant sniper rifle though.)
Don’t get me started Historian. At the Lone Star Flight Museum I did eveything but sit in the cockpit (and I wanted to sit in it bad to!)
Pity my Grandmother didn’t buy a couple of them in 1945 when the government sold them for something like $1500 bucks (including a tank of gas.)
They would be worth millions today!
I’ve got several books on the 38, including Bodie’s. If only Kelly had stayed on and did all the designing of the Lightning.

I would’ve splurged for one if I was around back then; gas is probably killer nowadays
Darn! That’s one we missed. We went last summer, but they were still getting back to normal after hurricane Ike. So that plane wasn’t there. Everything was jammed into one hangar.
Must be one hell of a big hangar
Well, most of the planes were dispersed around TX before the hurricane. There were 7-8 planes there when we went. Posted pictures in the Lone Star Flight Museum thread. I would have loved to have seen the P-38.
Yeah. Such a beautiful plane. Now I think we’re getting off-topic here…
Ok, beautiful planes and beautiful women. What’s off topic about that?
You know these women were all pilots?
Not sure which country this one is
Deaf
Well, the topic is only about women, not planes
That last pic looks like a European pilot…
Well ok, then just women with guns…
But none of them are movie stars!
Soooo…
That’s Carole Landis above.
Here is Veronica Lake in 1943
