Hello
I am a new member and would like to get some help getting some more information regarding the circumstances of a WWII picture I found of my father. It was published in a book Photo History of WWII with the caption Hungarian Faschists surrender. I tried to ask the publisher but got no where. I know he was a POW 1945-1948 in Russia Any information woild be greatly appreciated.
It’s an interesting picture.
One of the sldrs guarding the POWs is armed with an MP40, the rest have Mosin-Nagants or PPSh 41.

Is it just me, or does it seem unusual that lately there are so many new members claiming to be from Australia and New Zealand? I mean, Waz up with that? These 2 islands are so small and I would imagine that this site would be more attracted to the large population of USA. I mean, are there billboards on the new Zealand highways that advertize this site? Is RS getting paid to advertize this site cause he’s from Australia?. I just find it odd; although I’m not complaining, but the odds of so many new members that I have recently seen maes me puzzled. Anyways, welcome to everyone wherever you come from.

Hi, everybody,
My name is Brian Moreland. I’m a WWII fiction author who wrote a suspense thriller about the Nazis and the Occult. I just joined the forum. Because my grandfather was a pilot who flew C-47’s over Normandy, I have a very personal connection with WWII. Looking forward to sharing and making new friends.
