New members topic- Introduce yourself here:

Welcome Johan (aka Cimot_Cool)

Hope that you enjoy the forum.

All the Best,

George

Hello, I go by Gracie, Iā€™m a 30 year old Navy wife living in FL. I found this site via a link in the History Channel WWII forum. I love it! My husband and I are both WWII history buffs. I mostly just read on forums like this but thought I would at least introduce myself. I hope the non-military avatar is okay; this is the one I use on all the other forums I post to but, if it needs to be changed let me know! Again, beautiful site!

Welcome to the forum Gracie

Glad you like the site and hope that you enjoy the forum as well.

Your avatar, in my opinion, is borderline. I suppose it could pass for aircraft nose art.

I will leave it up to the other mods to determine if it is acceptable.

All the Best,

George

yea itā€™s nose art:)

Avatar is in keeping with ww2 in style at least.

Welcome aboard and feel free to post or not whenever you want.

Yeah, no problem with the av, since it definitely could pass for something on the nose of a B-17ā€¦

 Nice and curvy avatar there, welcome Gracie.

Thanks, glad itā€™s okay! Sheā€™s a little chubby and Iā€™m chubby so I felt it was fitting. I actually make reproduction/vintage styled pin-up clothes for bigger girls so I have the avatar that sort of expresses that style. I think the vintage look is good for people bigger than a size 2, because it can be cute without your ROLLS hanging out everywhere. LOL.

Is Irish Tiger anything like Guiness Lager?

I am new. Nice to know all of you.

Hi Major Walter, I just joined a couple days ago too.

Nice to know you.
By the way, how do you edit the rank thing or is it uneditable?

I saw the instructions in the faq when I read it but i donā€™t remember exactly how

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Hello, Iā€™m .50cal.forever. Iā€™m new to using forums, so Iā€™m unsure of how everything works. However, I hope to learn how to use everything properly and I hope to have many discussions with people who enjoy discussing WWII as much as I do!

Welcome to the forum

Not a problem, if you have questions about the forum tools - just ask

Enjoy,

George

Thank your for the welcome, and also thank you for your offer of help! I appreciate it!

Hello to you all,

Iā€™m Koen and thatā€™s not my nickname

Belgium is the country where I live, quite a cool place for a WWII hobbyist.

Been collecting pictures for a while now and Iā€™ll start posting them here soon.

WWII books and movies are ofcourse in my collection and I also collect documentaries & movies online.

Been playing & designing CombatMission scenarios for a long time now and I must admit Iā€™m a CMjunkie

I hope that I contribute to you site with new pictures.
Iā€™m not an official translator but I can still try to translate texts from/to Dutch, English, French & German.

Question: do we only post color-pictures?

Welcome! We certainly value people who can translate from one language to another! Weā€™re hoping to get more people who will submit their relativeā€™s WWII photos so we can help preserve history. IN the meantime, stick around and maybe you can help.

On the other hand, no, we donā€™t just post ONLY color pictures. Any pics will do as long as itā€™s related to WWII or the topic at hand. As a matter of fact, the black and white pictures seem to be the most popular for some reason.,

ok, good to knowā€¦couple of months ago I did set-up a picture board at this addressā€¦LINK

but people wouldnā€™t join itā€¦maybe you can get some ideas out of itā€¦Iā€™m always willing to help/manage thingsā€¦
