Sure they are Shuultz.I do that much photo searching on the net with google, I am always on the look out since I started this thread.Yes they are not always perfectly aligned thats why I use Photoshop for a little manipulation here and there on the then photo’s.The resolution size is the key. Some just fall in place, while other take more work.
Thanx for the effort rudeerude…once again a brilliant post.
I have kinda interesting for this thread…
my graphical works were done from classic photos, which are manipulated and redone with some combination of couple filters in the PhotFiltre 9.x.x - i am an experienced user, i create in it game skins and weapon rterxtures for CS.
Are you interesting enough to see my works? i think you will like them
Are you sure those German soldiers are real? To me they seem like reenactors…
Chubby mountain troopers?
Chubby Mountain Troopers with modern glasses and pathetic attempts at beards…
But nevermind. When you take a closer look you can tell that they’re probably just a part of the rest of the reenacting group, and have been photoshopped in from another modern photo rather than a historical one…
They are reenactors, right…
but they saw like came from the past to today’s world.
that photo was modificated to have a feeling that the people in background are from today, but the german soldiers are from the past. something like past and now were mixed together.
My CP is acting stupid when I try to save or open photos,it freezes the app I am using.Hence the reason for no updates lately. : (
Well I figured out a little work around for my pc problem so here we go.I could only find a little info on this picture.Rollbahan D , a Kubel passes a chapel in the village/town of Merlscheid.Battle of the Bulge
Once again Rudeerude… Brilliant.
Thank You! VonWeyer for your comment.I have slacked off a bit with this thread.
I got motivated since my last post. The village Wirtzfeld. The picture shows US forces in the process of evacuating this village as the German spearheads approach in the Battle of the Bulge ,northern section. Pictured are a column from the US 99th Inf Div (372nd Field Artillery Batt) on the lane that will take them to Elsenborn Village 6km away.
Brilliant pictures. Would never believe that places still stand even after being half destroyed.
Keep them coming!
love them as well! thanks.
Stunning, Brilliant works, Rudeerude.
They give an extremely interesting sense of perspective:
What happened here/passed this way, so many years ago; yet unsuspecting observers would never pause long enough to look, know, nor wonder.
I truly enjoy your works.
Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell.
Thanks all for the positive comments.I was just about to go looking for some pictures to update this thread but I decided to stop by the Forum first and seen some new comments. So hopefully in a few days I will have something new to post…
