Panzerknacker`s gallery.

Okay, some pictures of the route 55 and the old 28 in the border Cordoba- La Rioja passing trough 2900 meters high mountains ( fortunately i have turbo…diesel) , it was a hazy day but I think there are some good pictures aniway.

Nice pictures, PK, but by god you wouldn’t want a flat tire or overheated radiator there.
I get the feeling it might be weeks before someone passed along that same road.
Looks to be a large and remote area, though a scenic one.

Kind Regards, Uyraell.

It is relative remote and a secundary road, but fortunately my old pick-up is trusty enough.

The blued hazy colors of the landscape remembers me some photos of the carpatians I ve seen in internet.

That’s an interesting photo Panzerknacker.
I imagine the area is a wildlife reserve or protected sanctuary going by the ‘No Hunting’ notice, but I can’t quite make out the sign furthest to the left on the board, does it say something like ‘Respect the Flora’ (Don’t Pick Wild Flowers) ?

“Respect the forest”, that is more accurate. And yes the zone is a provincial protected area.

Thanks.
I couldn’t make out the sign itself so attempted to read the writing beneath (which wasn’t much easier,) and had to guess some of the letters.

Some really nice pictures, sir.

Thank you.

More, old car and bikes reunion in the 100th anniversary of our neighbourhood. Sunday june 7th 2009.

Cisitalia 1500, 1951, very rare italian sport car.

Chevrolet 1936.

Ford T

Ford A

Nash sedan 1940.

Darraq, very old french car 1903.

Whippet and its happy passengers, 1928 baquet.

Mighty, nearly new condition Rolls Royce limousine 1937, in the one with the open “cockpit” for the driver. quite classic.

It’s great to see antique car enthusiasts alive and well in other countries. My dad told me that years ago (50’s or 60’s) he would dismantle old run down cars (Model A’s mostly, because so many) to make money from the scrap metal. Nowadays he always wished he had kept one. The 40’s Nash looks like a beauty, but the Rolls Royce pictures are wonderful!

Thanks.

Some of that kind of canibalization happened here, specially with hard to obtain spres cars like the Stutz and Whippet,Triumph. How many of them when to scrap is uknown but the number must be high considering teh extrem good economical situation of our country between 1910-1946 wich allowed big fortunes, and obviously produced several big buyers.

Some photos for biker lovers ( Motorcycles for our UK friends)

Harley 1928 modified. In the background a Gilera 500 saturno 1949.

BSA Mono 350 1939. At its right and old Puma, 2 stroke motorcycle based in an old german design of 1936 and made in Argentina in 1950.

My Gilera 500 1953, some dummy placed a helmet its back, not mine. I wasnt wearing a helmet taht day.

Was really bored that wednesday so I took some shots to my Bersa Thunder 9mm.

Grand pics my friend, (I would have ridden off with the helmet hanging on the bike…) its good to see some classic bikes. Here is the latest addition to my garage.
