Ya know PK I wrote those rules for a reason. You should have discussed the situation with the other staff members before taking that action. More than 1 point infraction should be discussed with the staff. You could have just deleted his posts untill we could talk about it.
You are correct, but I think this is a special case. The forum have no need to withstand continuosly this kind of communist nazis. I warned him 6 times, 3 in private and 3 in public.
Giving him al little vacations perhaps (and dont have many hopes here) will make him stop his trolling.

For what it’s worth, I was thinking along much the same lines when I locked that thread initially, although I’m far too new at this moderating lark to do anything without approval from the rest of the headshed. Chevan has been acting in an unacceptably anti-semitic way for some time, usually thinly veiled in such a manner that there is no one individual thing to point to. Over time, however, I have come to the conclusion that it is anti-semitism driving a hatred for Israel and not the other way around. I’ve given him at least one thinly veiled warning as to acceptable behaviour, and IMHO he’s ignored it by and large (not totally - he isn’t quoting from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion yet).
He isn’t the only guilty party in that thread though - a couple of others were IMHO baiting him a bit. Nowhere near as bad as his behaviour however IMHO.

Well you have done a good job here lately IMO and so you are release from your bonds. Although it never hurts to discuss situations with the rest of the staff.
New staff members have new ideas and approaches to issues which is great but dont go so far off the beaten path we dont know where you are anymore.
